The 90 for 90 Challenge

For the next 90 days leading up to Easter, we are committing to a daily rhythm of spiritual and physical health. This is a journey of dedicating intentional time to God and stewarding the bodies He gave us.

30 Min: Read

Read one chapter in the Gospels and one in Psalms daily, followed by written reflection.

30 Min: Pray

Intentional time dedicated to thanksgiving, worship, and bringing requests to the Lord.

30 Min: Move

Steward your body. Go for a walk, hit the gym, or get active around the house.

Read & Reflect

We will read the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) and the first 90 chapters of Psalms. Read one chapter in the Gospels and one in Psalms each day. Write a paragraph of reflection in your tablet detailing what the Lord revealed to you or questions you have.

Accountability: Commit to an accountability partner. Connect over the phone or in person once a week to reflect, encourage, and pray for one another.

Jan 10 - Jan 16 Matthew 1-7 & Psalm 1-7
Feb 7 - Feb 13 Mark 1-7 & Psalm 29-35
Feb 14 - Feb 20 Mark 8-14 & Psalm 36-42
Mar 21 - Mar 27 John 2-8 & Psalms 71-77

Prayer & Praise

Thanksgiving and praise are the best way to enter a time of prayer. Turn on some worship music, or use our custom playlist to start your time.

Start with The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13):
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Daily Prayer Guide:

  • God, I ask you to lead me this day as I begin this time of prayer.
  • Lord Jesus, I pray that you would help me to fulfill your will in my life today.
  • Holy Spirit, lead me in all I do and say, that my life would reflect who Jesus is in me.
  • As I walk out my day or finish my day, I am asking you to speak to me, teach me and open my eyes to what can be changed in me. Give me the strength and courage I need to address these things.
  • Thank you Heavenly father for family and loved ones (by name). I ask for healing power, restoration, salvation and redemption in their lives.
  • God, I pray for the region you have placed me in. Let me be a light to those around me. I lift up my neighbors and co-workers to you today.
  • I pray for our nation and our government officials, that they would be influenced by the power of God and not the spirit of this world.
  • Heavenly father, we pray for the salvation of Israel. May you awaken them in this hour.
  • Lord, I pray for my church, the pastors, the leaders and the staff. Strengthen them, direct them, impart vision and cover them each day.
  • Thank you Lord for saving me and restoring me. Cover me with the power of the blood today.
Finish with The Prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10):
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain! So God granted him what he requested.

Exercise

We are body, soul, and spirit. While bodily exercise profits little, our bodies are still the temple. We must care for them. We recognize that we will not live forever and we can't escape the curse of sin, but our role is to steward our bodies to the best of our ability so that we can function and fulfill our God-given purpose.

This can be done while praying and worshiping. The goal is to be intentional with forcing yourself to do something physical every day. It may be a trip to the gym, a walking trail, a bike ride, or grabbing miscellaneous things around the house and doing movements with them. Push yourself to do things you haven't been doing within your physical abilities.
